He made his 50th appearance for the club on 25 April, starting in a 22 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.The following month, he featured in the Nedbank Cup final where Maritzburg United were defeated 10 by Free State Stars.On 21 May, following a campaign in which he played in all but three matches and scored five goals, he was nominated for a host of PSL awards including the awards for Midfielder of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Footballer of the Season. He was also nominated for the Most Promising Player award for his performances in the Nedbank Cup.He won the former two awards at the PSL Awards ceremony held on 29 May.
