Planted in 1997 to Pinot Noir (2 acres) and Chardonnay (1.5 acres) this vineyard sits between 950-1100 ft. up in the heart of the mountains. WebCalifornia Pinot Noir has for too long been a conversation of opposing extremes of ripeness. Ryan finds originality in the middle, capturing the lost-boy spirit of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Vintage-wise, 2024 was business as usual — relatively damp and mild with a few heat spikes in early summer.
